LOL Opening Information

This all feels so counterintuitive. Here we are setting up lists of very specific rules for how to conduct ourselves in a program that was built on community closeness, individuality, and our sole “rule” of respect. It doesn’t feel right. This is not how we would choose to run our program, but for now, it is necessary. Please join us in being uncomfortable for a bit by abiding by these guidelines to show your respect for our community and others in general. Your cooperation will help others to remain healthy and for LOL to remain open. We can be creative and find gifts in this situation. We are sure of it!

An Innovative Approach to Education

Leaves of Learning (LOL) is an innovative, highly successful educational program for students ages 3-18. Since 1997 we have offered Cincinnati area families a unique education option. 92% of our graduates go on to college. Our program nurtures students' development, encourages respect for others, and fosters students’ ability to observe, question, evaluate, and make decisions.

While all students at LOL are considered homeschoolers, some attend LOL fulltime, doing little to no schooling at home, while others attend classes to supplement their curriculum. With over 100 classes to choose from, families can design their own program, based on each child's individual needs.

At LOL, we believe that an environment of trust, cooperation, and mutual respect encourages students to become independent thinkers and responsible contributors to an ever-changing, multicultural world. To accomplish this, we combine traditional educational goals with progressive teaching strategies.

“I really don’t think there is anything as special as what we have at LOL. I wish every child in the world could be so lucky as to have this sort of education.”

— Jenny H., LOL Parent
